Autumn has arrived in all its golden glory—and it just might be our favorite season for making memories with our doodles. At Heritage Manor Labradoodles, we believe every season offers unique opportunities to bond with your dog, but there’s something especially magical about fall.
Whether you’re enjoying your first fall with a new puppy or soaking up cozy traditions with your well-loved adult doodle, this season is the perfect time to embrace the outdoors, savor simple joys, and spend meaningful time together.
To help you make the most of the season, we’ve created a Fall Bucket List filled with dog-friendly activities that celebrate everything we love about autumn—crisp air, crunchy leaves, warm drinks, and wagging tails.
There’s something downright delightful about watching your doodle dive headfirst into a pile of freshly raked leaves. Whether it’s in your backyard or along a leaf-strewn trail, let your pup explore the sights, scents, and sounds of fall.
HML Tip: Puppies in particular benefit from seasonal sensory exposure—different textures, sounds, and smells all support confident development.
Pumpkin patches aren’t just for family photos—they’re a feast for your doodle’s senses, too! Many local farms and patches welcome leashed dogs, giving you the chance to snap seasonal pics, meet other pups, and soak up the festive atmosphere.
Don’t forget to tag @HeritageManorLabradoodles so we can see your pumpkin-picking adventures!
Cooler temps = perfect hiking weather. Your Labradoodle will love the opportunity to explore nature on foot (or paw), and you’ll love the peaceful beauty of changing leaves. Whether it’s a local wooded trail or a scenic state park, choose a spot that matches your pup’s age and energy level.
HML Families: This is also a great chance to gently reinforce leash manners while giving your dog enriching new experiences.
Football season means tailgates, and there’s no reason your doodle can’t join the fun! Bring a blanket, some water, a few treats or a chew toy, and include your pup in the game-day bonding.
Even a backyard tailgate or picnic can be a fun way to celebrate fall weekends together.
Did you know plain pumpkin (no sugar or spices!) is great for your dog’s digestion? Whip up a batch of simple pumpkin biscuits or frozen pumpkin-peanut butter bites. Your doodle will be your biggest fan—and most devoted taste-tester.

Whether your dog loves a full costume or just rocks a festive fall bandana, dressing up is a fun way to get into the spirit of the season. Bonus points for coordinated family looks—and yes, we love seeing your themed group photos!
Remember: comfort first. Not every dog enjoys dressing up, and that’s okay too.
Fall patio weather is perfect for a low-key outing. Grab a seasonal latte and a whipped cream "pup cup" for your doodle. Many local cafés offer pet-friendly outdoor seating and even doggie treats.
For young pups, it’s a safe and fun way to introduce the sounds and sights of the world in a calm setting.
There’s nothing cozier than a fall evening in—blankets, snacks, a good movie, and your pup curled up next to you. Whether it’s a spooky family favorite or a comfort film, your doodle is just happy to be near you.
If you have kids, let your doodle join in on homework or reading time. Studies show dogs help lower stress and boost focus!
On chilly or rainy days, keep your dog engaged with sniffing games and treat-hiding challenges. Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise—especially for clever doodles who love a job to do.
Great for both new puppies building problem-solving skills and adult doodles who need something to do indoors.
Golden leaves, flannel shirts, and doodle smiles—fall is made for photo memories. Whether it’s a pro session or candid shots during a walk, take time to snap a few photos of your dog enjoying the season.
These are the moments you’ll treasure long after the last leaf has fallen.
At Heritage Manor Labradoodles, we believe that every season is a chapter in your dog’s story—and fall is one of the best for bonding, learning, and memory-making.
Whether your doodle is bounding through leaves for the first time or curling up next to your boots after a long hike, these moments strengthen the bond that began the day you brought them home.
So go ahead—check off this fall bucket list one tail wag at a time. 🍂
We’ll see you (and your pumpkin-loving pup) out there!
