As some of you may (or may not know) our sweetheart Cle and the ever-charming Mr. Jangles welcomed their puppies on January 6th, 2026, and mom and babies are doing beautifully.Β
And now β here we are at Week 5.
There is a beautiful shift that happens around five weeks.
The sleepy newborn stage begins to fade, and curiosity quietly takes its place. This is the point where true Australian Labradoodle puppy development begins accelerating. Puppies start venturing beyond the whelping area into a larger nursery space where they wrestle, explore, nap hard, and begin practicing pottying on artificial turf.
You can follow current litters and developmental updates inside our Nursery, where each active litter has its own dedicated page.

Tiny teeth erupt, and chewing becomes serious business. Play grows more interactive. Tails wag more deliberately. And little by little, Australian Labradoodle temperament begins to emerge in visible ways.
Behind the scenes, we continue intentional handling and grooming exposure, including nail trims, gentle brushing, ear care, and calm touch conditioning. These early experiences help puppies learn that being handled is safe and predictable, building confidence and resilience that matter long after your puppy leaves the nursery.
By about five and a half weeks, families join us for scheduled virtual visits. This is one of the most meaningful milestones in our puppy matching process.
During these visits, you observe the puppies interacting naturally. You begin to notice personalities, energy levels, and small quirks emerging. At the same time, we talk through your lifestyle, home environment, daily rhythm, and long-term goals for your future companion.
As week six begins, so does our thoughtful evaluation process.
After family visits are complete, we carefully assess each puppyβs temperament, development, energy level, and emerging personality alongside the dynamics of every home waiting for them. Our goal is not simply to place puppies quickly, but to create matches that allow both dog and family to truly thrive together.
This intentional approach is outlined in more detail on our Pricing page, where we explain how our matching process works.

Within a few short days, families learn which puppy will be joining their story. It is a beautiful turning point β when anticipation becomes certainty, and a name and a future finally meet.
Families who are still planning ahead can also explore our Upcoming Litters page to see what is on the horizon.
Meanwhile, development continues rapidly inside the nursery.
Bodies grow stronger. Coordination improves. Puppies become more confident navigating new spaces and interacting with one another. Environmental enrichment expands with new textures, sounds, gentle outdoor exposure when weather allows, and simple confidence-building challenges designed to support neurological development.
Weaning is completed during this stage, and bite inhibition continues to develop through play with siblings. Mental stimulation becomes just as important as physical movement as puppies begin learning how to problem solve, explore, and regulate excitement.
By week seven, preparation takes center stage.
The puppies are noticeably more independent, but this final full week with their littermates remains incredibly important. Social skills, communication cues, and emotional resilience continue developing right up until go-home day.
During this week, several important milestones are completed. Puppies receive their veterinary wellness exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchips, and continue their deworming protocol.
Families also receive guidance on preparing their homes, including crate placement, early training routines, feeding structure, health insurance considerations, and what to expect when bringing home an Australian Labradoodle puppy for the first time.
Because week eight arrives quickly.
And just like that, it is time.
Go-home day is joyful, but it is also a significant transition for your puppy. The first 24 to 48 hours in a new home are about stability, reassurance, and gentle adjustment.
When preparing for a new puppy, calm structure matters more than excitement.
Potty your puppy before entering the house. Introduce spaces gradually. Keep greetings low-key. Children should sit rather than carry. This is not the day for neighborhood walks or meeting other dogs. Let their world expand slowly and safely.
You may notice a decreased appetite, extra sleep, brief uncertainty, or mild potty inconsistencies during the first few days. This is completely normal during the transition to a new home. Your puppy does not yet understand house training in your environment. Accidents during this stage are adjustment, not defiance.
Keep routines steady. Keep water fresh. Keep your energy balanced.
Within a few days, you will begin to see their personality unfold again β now inside your home, in your rhythm, as part of your family.
Weeks five through eight are not simply about growth.
They are about preparation.
Every small experience during this stage β every handled paw, every new sound, every playful interaction with littermates β is helping shape a puppy who will step confidently into the world.
And week eight is not the end of the nursery chapter.
It is the beginning of your life together.
